I’ve Tasted and Seen…

I have tasted and seen that He is good. I have experienced the power, the love, the truth.

‘You shall know the truth, and it’ll set you free,’ has become the new and beautiful normal for me.

I can’t get enough, of His beauty, of His grace, His joy overtakes me, as I look upon His face.

The desire for Him, for His presence, for His rest, draws me every moment toward His ultimate best.

His Holy Spirit burns like a fire, burning big with no mess; it burns to ashes my fears, my shame, my brokenness.

As the fears turn to ashes, and there is now made new room; new truths, new seeds, new Word planted to bloom.

You see, I’m His daughter, and all things are now right—I’m His girl, His chosen, His treasure, His delight.

I’m no longer shame-filled, unworthy, condemned.

I know I’m enough now, I’m righteous, I’m flawless because of my ‘In Him.’

All because of Jesus I am God’s masterpiece, created in His image, on purpose He chose me.

Above and not beneath, healed and whole by His grace, I am no longer oppressed, as I dwell in His secret place.

He is the one who deserves all the fame, oh Jesus, sweet Jesus, just call on His name.

He died for you too, you know, God knows you perfectly. He chose you on purpose, He knit you together beautifully.

He loves you more than you could ever understand. He’s numbered your hairs, your name’s written on His hand.

Your walls are before Him, He’s as close as your next breath, He longs to be apart of your life, to show you His best.

He desires to walk, to remind, to comfort you each day, to guide you and love you and teach you not works, but to play.

Will you respond to His call and let God above love you? Will you receive Him, trust Him, to carry the biggest things for you?

He will transform your heart, He turns shackles to dust, hard hearts to softened, bitterness to love.

He will set you on fire and restore you like new, better than you could think, ask, or imagine, He wants only good for you.

So call out to Jesus with your loudest call yet, believe in your heart and come embrace rest.

Being baptized in water, ending darkness once and for all, let His spirit baptize you with fire, empowering you to embrace your life’s call.

It’s not a call of performance, check marks or rules, it’s a call to receive ‘right with God,’ because of Jesus and His love for you.

Being right in His eyes is all because of Jesus, not you; your call is to be His daughter or son, it’s a relationship He wants with you.

So go ahead, put on your righteousness, your new nature, your new man. It will shine brighter, so much brighter, than anything else can.

Be bold in your new man, be confident and sure, it’s Jesus, not your self, that you’re now living for.

Forgetting what lies behind, pressing onward to your high calling, the Holy Spirit will be so loud you won’t even hear the darkness roaring.

Things will be so different now, the world you once knew, will be less shiny, less desirable, less controlling of you.

You will tell it who and who’s you are, God’s light will shine through you like a brightly shining star.

Go and tell the world about Him, Jesus is He. Make disciples, all over, because it’s He who set you free.
