The Gospel is the good news of the complete and finished work of Jesus Christ.

The whole Bible tells the good news…but simply put: Jesus paid it all.

For you.

Just for you and just for me.

You were born separated from God, into a sin nature because of one man’s sin (Adam).

But Jesus came and died on the cross for all your sins, past, present, and future, and in doing this He became the one time, perfect in every way sacrifice for YOU to be reunited into relationship with the Father, God Almighty.

Nothing you did, or will ever do would be enough to earn or deserve His love.

Nothing you do can ever be bad enough to separate you from His love.

Because in essence, all God chooses to see is His perfect son, Jesus Christ.

16For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. John 3:16-17

You don’t have to clean yourself up for God.

You don’t have to do better, be better, feel better, look better, appear better to come to Him.

Just as you are, just as I am.

We can run to the Father, dirty, stained, unclean, abused, addicted, depressed, suicidal, mistreated, actively bleeding, abandoned, left out, forgotten, forsaken…

We can run as adulterers, murderers, criminals, thieves, slanderers, gossips, average joes, imposters, fakes, top performers, lay people, teachers, musicians, politicians…

No matter what you’ve done, no matter what you’ve not done— no matter what lie you’ve lived, no matter how long—it’s not too late. It will never be too late to run back home to your Father, your Dad, your Abba.

There is grace and mercy and healing and wholeness and peace and joy abounding for you.

There is no new rule set—don’t ever let people tell you differently. The only rule now as a New Testament believer is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Doing this, falling in love with God with your whole being, will bring out and produce and establish the In Christ identity in your born again spirit, effortlessly.

Your job is to fall in love with Jesus Christ.

Learn who God is by learning His word, learn what happened on the cross, learn to hear God’s voice and who you are now as a new creature.

The gospel is freedom.

It’s not guilt, shame or obligation.

The true gospel is not regulations or law, traditions and rules… it’s the love of God that constrains you now.

It’s because He never forces you — it’s up to you to choose.

It’s because love without freewill is binding and suffocating… and the powerful force of real, whole, God kind of love is fierce and explosive and regenerating.

If you’ve never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, the time is now.

Jesus says about Himself in John 14:6: ⁶ Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

The only way to heaven is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

And without a relationship with Christ, there is no heaven for you.

Unbelievers will spend eternity separated from the Father and everything He represents. There will be no love, no peace, no joy, but a lake of fire and brimstone, where the worm does not die and the fire does not quench. Unceasing torment, day and night forever and ever.

No matter how good you look on the outside, or what appearance you keep in the community, it matters not how efficiently self-sustained you may be…

Doing good for people, doing kind things, keeping morality alone— well it simply won’t cut it.

It’s never been about what you do.

It’s always been about what Jesus did, and Who Jesus is.

It’s time to take a hard, serious look at our relationship with Christ.

If it doesn’t exist in reality, or it needs a major reset, just make it right with God, right now.

It’s too easy not to.

If your heart is exploding as you read this, or a lump is rising in your throat, don’t resist the Holy Spirit drawing you to Him.

Just give in to Him.

It’s so simple. Just talk to God as if you were talking to a friend…

“Father, I need you. I messed things up and I can’t fix them on my own. I can’t do this life without you, and I am sorry I’ve tried to do it on my own.

I believe what your Word says that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, and He rose from the grave. I repent for my sins, and I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior and as my Lord.

Thank you God for your Holy Spirit who now lives in my heart. I thank you God for turning my heart of stone to a heart of flesh.

I thank you God that just like Jesus died on the cross for me, my old nature of sin is now dead, and like Jesus rose from the dead, I step into my new nature now alive IN CHRIST. I thank you Holy Spirit for helping me as I read the Bible and learn who You tell me I am through the pages.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, AMEN.”
