In the Old Testament, the ark of the covenant represented the presence of God among the Israelites. (Exodus 25:22)
To be with God, you had to go to the tabernacle.
Now, because of Jesus, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19)
No matter where we go, or what we do, God is with us, literally, because the Holy Spirit is in us. (Romans 6:10-11)
As Christians today, we are like mini temples walking around the world.
As we claim to be believers and Christ followers, people should notice—and even be drawn to—the Christ within us.
Because we carry the Holy Spirit, we are the walking, talking, traveling church.
Take deliverance to the living rooms.
Pray for healing in the grocery store.
Set the captive free at the park, the coffee shop, the restaurant.
We take Jesus to the lost and hurting.
Unfortunately some people won’t come within 10 feet of a church because of the way Jesus has been misrepresented there… so that means the church now has a job to do.
So we go to them.
It can’t be about us all the time anymore, church.
We must be about our Father’s business, just like Jesus was.
Take God to the people wherever you go.
