Psalm 8:3-6
Verse 3:when I see and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have established
Verse 4: what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Verse 5: yet you have made him a little lower than God, and you have crowned him with glory and honor.
Verse 6: You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; you have put all things under his feet.”
I have always understood verses 3-5… sermon after sermon of who is man that God would be mindful of him…
What I have wondered this week is this…
Why do we stop teaching at verse 5? Have you read on? I know I really hadn’t on my own… What about verse 6?
“We have dominion, over the works of His hands… He has put all things under our feet…”
What has a hold on you, other that Christ?
The Bible says God put all things under your feet… 👆🏼
What thing has hold of you that you fear that you’ll never overcome?
Just ask God to help you choose differently.
Time to cut some of those ropes. Set yourself free, sail away to a new place with Jesus and burn the ships.
Put some things back under your feet where they belong…
And where they are intended to stay.
Just chew on it.
