Let’s talk about church hurts for a minute…

Don’t scroll up. 

Hear me out… 

Have you ever been hurt by someone at church? 

I have to say it really is pretty messed up some of the things that the people in a church have done to others…

I’ve not only been victim to it, I’ve done it. 

I’ve caused church hurts to brothers and sisters. 

It hurts and stings deeper than any other hurts. 

Not minimizing that. 

But how long are we going let it define us? 

How long will we want to sit and lick our wounds? 

How long are we going to replay in our minds, what he said, or she said, or they did? 

We can’t forget that the church is composed of people, people that make mistakes just like you and me… almost all are truly trying to follow Jesus the best way they know how.

Everyone’s on their own journey with Him, and it’s really not even our business why they act how they act… 

That’s why we can’t let others be bigger than Him. 

We must know Him more, love Him more, treasure Him more. 

I think it’s pretty plain and simple… 

Easy to see really… 

the enemy has wiggled his way into our church with ‘church hurts.’

Division, strife, offense, and self. 

That’s all the enemy, not Jesus.

That’s also not the people that we battle; flesh and blood are not the real problem… 

It’s the powers and principalities that deceive us and carnality and sin that we too often choose over the Holy Spirit inside of us…

Let’s rise above. 

Lift the plane a little higher above the clouds of confusion and choose Him, choose His way.

Dust off.

Say you’re sorry first. 

Go ahead and forgive before the apology.

Intentional or accidental, only God knows that heart. 

Fully forgive and completely forget that thing. 

Jesus said to assemble, so assemble. 

Let’s unite and rise up church. 

The time is now.
