Ordinary

This is for the ordinary girls out there, like me.

Ordinary. Average. Mediocre. Nothing special. Not bad, not terrible, just average. We love Jesus, we know He loves us, and that’s more than enough.

God says there is more for girls like you and me, though. He has more for us to step into. You see, no one can reach our people for Jesus like we can. God created us for such a time as this, this culture, this people, our circles.

Don’t dare be deceived to think that you can’t understand, or do the things of God, that He calls you to.

Don’t think that you can’t be the city on a hill that cannot be hidden.

Jesus said that blessed are those who seek after righteousness, for they will be filled.

Seek and you shall find, ask and it will be given to you, knock and the door will be opened. It’s a believing. Do you want it? If you want it, God said it’s yours.

God is NOT holding His hand up to you, saying, “No, child. You aren’t ready to really know the Word yet, you’ve got to do some things better first, then I’ll show you.” Biggest fattest ugliest deception of all.

Take the Word, ordinary girl.

Take it and start applying it to your life. Watch the Word come alive…It will knock you off your feet. God is arms wide open to you.

He’s drawing you toward Him.

Ask Him to teach you, I promise you He will.

Truth is, there’s power in the ordinary. There’s power in knowing that we are simply ordinary. Ordinary receives. Ordinary knows that in her own strength, she is incapable.

Take your ordinary, and begin to see you the way God does, not because you do anything, but because Jesus did it all. Ask God. The Holy Spirit is our best teacher. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

We have not, because we ask not.

It’s true.

God really likes you.

He created you a certain way because He wanted to, for HIS glory. He’s created you to do something that only YOU can do. There’s no one else that will be able to minister in that way He designed for you.

Embrace you.

Begin to love who God created in you, “Be you with God inside you.”

God is no respecter of persons, if He’s doing it for me, He will do it for you.

Stay hungry and thirsty for Jesus, seek His face, knock, ask God to teach you. He gladly opens the door, He gives us what we need. He is faithful, He will fill you and satisfy.

It’s Jesus that makes us extraordinary. Let’s let Him.
