Have you ever met someone and you’re like, wow, they are exceptionally special. They set the bar, they light up the room, they exemplify God the Father with so much clarity, by walking out the spiritual qualities that we get to know by faith and experience. They show us sneak peaks of God’s pure love, they show us how to do it.
This man right here, is such a heavenly blessing to me and my children. This man is a gift to me by God’s grace, one that I do not deserve.
Clint knows he is perfectly loved, and you know that by how he can love. His love is pure, and steady, it’s steadfast. It doesn’t change when I’m in a grumpy mood, or sad. His soul is like an ocean of glass, unmoved by the world around him. He grew up learning this from his dad, who loves unselfishly, and sacrificially, consistently, every day of his life.
His joy is unstoppable, he is bubbling over with excitement for life, to play with kids, and I promise one of his life goals is to make me laugh until I cry, on the daily.
He is peace. He exemplifies this so well, walking and resting in peace. Knowing that His is God’s, and God is his. He helps to keep me anchored to the rock of Jesus most days.
He is patient. He doesn’t lose his cool, he stands strong. He waits, he knows. He trusts.
He is kind. His heart is soft to the things of God, the needs of others, and he would go to the ends of anywhere for his people.
He is good, so good. He is a gentleman, he is a daddy, a father.
He is faithful. Faithful to God, faithful to me, faithful to us. He is strong, leading us through good times, carrying our family through harder times, never getting tired. Always being faithful.
He is gentle, calm, and self-controlled. He is our household accountant, yard man and trash guy. He does the dirty work, and never says a word.
He is not perfection, no one is. But he’s perfect for me. He weathers life with me, he is my husband, my heart, my pure love.
I can never be more thankful for him than I am right now. Nothing more, nothing less, right here right now. Thank you, for showing me the character of God the father. Thank you for loving me purely and steadily.
Thank you for being mine.
