Safe Place

I was so deceived by the enemy of this world to find so much security in religion.

In the four walls of the church.

Checking boxes, doing the list of things…

“I honestly didn’t know…”

“They never taught me that…”

It’s not my fault, it is theirs…

Huh?

Time for excuses to stop.

“They” probably very well told me but I didn’t have my spiritual ears to hear, or spiritual eyes to see.

Did I go home and read the passages myself? Did I want it?

When do they end and we begin?

Who’s coat tails are we riding around on?

Who do we say He is?

We find security in our morality, our doing right, thinking that it’s keeping us safe; trusting in our religious relationships with people and pastors more than the one we have with Jesus.

It’s God that keeps us.

It’s His Love that keeps me safe.

We don’t have to go to a building, to another person to sense and experience the presence of safety with the Father.

Be a part of the church to contribute and disciple and spread God’s love onto others.

He’s in us.

He’s with us.

He’s not leaving.

Secure yourself to the Rock of Jesus. He’s the most trustworthy you’ll ever know.
