Go home, mama.
Take your attention, your focus, your time, your energy, to the house.
Take your gifting and abilities and put them to practice in the four walls of your home.
We’ve been trained to think that our real value is in the workplace, the job, the excellence of work…
Feministic.
Or maybe no one trained me that way at all, maybe that was all just me that had my priorities jacked up, me just deceived about what the real thing really is…
Go work if your husband wants you to, go do your thing.
But first, after a child of God, be his help meet.
Honor, respect, love and submit to him as he loves you as Christ loves the church.
Then train them up.
Focus on them, their needs, their schedules, their hearts, their lives… tend to them, nurture them, love their socks off.
Clean their rooms for them just because. Slip an ‘I love you more’ note in their lunch box. Buy them their favorite candy on Friday, and take them to waffle house for breakfast on Saturdays.
Turn the focus from you, to them. Let them love you, and you allow yourself to love them with every ounce of being in you.
Make home cozy, comfort and peace. Make it beautiful and perfectly designed to the family’s character.
Clean and freshen, bake cookies and watch movies with them…
Shift your focus, stay in the moment; always be mentally present in the home.
Go home, mama. Go home.
