Let them see you love on their daddy.
Let them see you wink, snuggle, cheer him on.
Let your babies watch what real love married looks like.
Let them watch you take care of their daddy.
Sweet nothings and simple gestures with pure motives, well that slays any attempts at strife trying to come in any home.
Don’t embarrass him in front of them.
Don’t degrade or try to make him look ridiculous in front of them, even if he is.
Everything you say, you do; every way you act, is a lesson that a child may be learning, an instruction you maybe weren’t intending to teach…
Every move you make is a teach when your kids are around.
One thing that helped me to understand this was learning how God loves Clint, and having my own son.
That’s Gods child you’re married to. That’s His fearfully and wonderfully made.
As a mom, I could see how I would respond to my husband and would never want my son’s wife to ever talk to him that way…
Sometimes it just takes a shift of focus.
Usually off of ourselves…
Our kids need to see us celebrate our husbands, to be in love with them, and to let them lead us.
