The best biblical example of this is about the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5.
I heard a different vantage on this with a Facebook reel by ‘thejasonjacksonjr’, so credits to him on this awesome reel. He discussed this regarding relationships and it was so powerful.
God gave me a little different view of it, more in regard to progressing individually.
In this story, all the people laying around the pool are one of the following:
1. Blind- with no vision of where they are going.
2. Lame- they haven’t been the same since they got hurt.
3. Paralyzed- in some area of their life they are living in a state of stagnation without any evidence of progression.
Where did you stop?
Or better yet, have you even started?
What vision has God birthed in your heart?
If you don’t know, get up and find out.
There is no time to waste.
Get back to the secret place with the Lord.
Your life is passing before your eyes, time you’ll not have again is literally wasting…
If you have a vision, and you tried to step out and got hurt, what did the Lord last say to you?
What was His last word to you?
Go back there and pick it up and start moving again.
His vision for you is still alive, the dream has not died, it’s just buried under that calloused wound that you won’t let God at…
What’s stagnating?
Stir up, sis.
Stir up the gifts and callings and put to work what you already know to do— consistently.
Do it.
You already know the instruction.
Slay the internal sloth, the internal critic who says you’re not perfect so you can’t yet, get over yourself and consider the ant.
Get moving.
It’s time to lock in.
A ship sitting still in stagnant water does nothing but rots.
Stopping will stagnate, and stagnate grows mildew and moss.
Stagnate will rot to the core, eating your plan slowly, gradually, in some cases unnoticeably.
Don’t look back 5 years from now not only having made no progress, but now having to repair rotten spots, too.
His dream is driven by His Grace.
His will, His bill.
He assigned and designated, He equips.
Get up.
The time is now.
