These writings are from the real and raw places that I found myself as God, through His Holy Spirit, taught and continues to teach me about the completed work of His Son Jesus.
During this powerful time with the Lord, learning, studying, growing, healing, crying, worshipping, and soaking in His presence, I am also a wife, a mother to three, a full-time employee, a daughter, a friend, and an in-law, and that just names a few of the different hats I wear.
Life did not stop for me to sit in silence with the Lord, to heal for all my “messed up” parts, to renew my mind in a beautiful cabin overlooking the mountains by peaceful waters and a running river with no interruptions… no, nothing of the sort.
I was in the depths of mothering in the child rearing years of toddler, elementary, and middle school ages. I had a husband to love and care for, dinner to fix, boo-boo’s to kiss, hearts to mend, cuddles to give, and discipline to administer.
Not to mention my daytime job of care coordination for children, which essentially is helping other mothers with their children as well, all while the Lord was tending to me.
And boy, did He tend to me.
God was and continues to be so faithful, so powerfully present, so boldly was He my ever present Help in time of need.
So if you’re thinking ‘this is a lot, I cannot walk through this right now, my kids need me, my husband needs me, I cannot do this deep heart work with God in this season,’ I just want you to consider the fact that you honestly and realistically cannot do any of that without Him…
If He did it for me, He wants to do it for you, too.
Right now.
You do not have to keep waiting. God is ready for you, He’s been ready to help you, He’s only waiting for your ask.
He takes you at your pace, when you’re ready, and He’d never ask you to do something that He has not already equipped you to step into. So if you feel like God is exploding inside and tugging on your heart at this, take one step toward Him. Just step into His direction.
Let Him keep on raising you, while you raise them.
