The Person of God

When you receive Jesus as your Savior, you do not get an intellectual download of the supernatural things of God.

Everything you need to know does resides in your renewed spirit man that went from death to life instantaneously at your choice to trust in Jesus as your Savior, but you must learn what that is, and how to access it… this is the rest of the Christian life.

You must renew your mind.

You must learn with your physical brain what you have in the mind of Christ that He gave you, and start walking it out.

There is so much to be learned, unlearned and cleaned out of us with the water of His word following salvation.

We need to know about God and what He is like.

We need to know what parts of us no longer glorify Him and let go of those things.

We need to be healed from pains in our past and confusion that keeps us bound.

This is why going to church, having a pastor, having godly people around you to teach you is vital. You have to learn by these things, and by reading His word.

What do you currently believe about God?

What is He like?

How do you know?

Do you trust Him?

Do you believe what He says to you through His word?

Are you afraid of God?

What do you understand the sovereignty of God to mean? Where did you gain that understanding?

Do you think God is causing sufferings in your life? Why?

I pray that God begins to reveal to your heart who He is, and what He is like. Dig into His word, and get to know Him.

He’s arms wide open to teach you.

Jesus, The Son

Jesus came to the earth to break the hold of sin and death as the perfect sacrifice, but He also came to earth to exemplify what the Father is really like; He said, “if you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.” (John 14:7-11)

Jesus also said that He can do nothing He has not already seen the Father do…

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”

The Holy Spirit

Jesus told us that He must return to the Father, so that the Holy Spirit could come. He said it would benefit us because the Holy Spirit, will be able to be everywhere all at once for all of us.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”

This point is so bold. It and my testimony completely prevents me from being like those that think the Holy Spirit falling was just in Acts and for the Apostles. It’s almost like that teaching implies that He came once for them as the apostles only, and left again… as if He comes and goes and “comes upon and departs” for us as new covenant believers. What would the point of Jesus be, then? Why would He come to reunite us to the Father, if we really have no full access to Him? And the Holy Spirit is not just for the Elite Fivefold, either. He is also for us in the ordinary.

The Holy Spirit LIVES in you, ordinary.

His grace is there to equip you in your ordinary, mundane, day to day life, just like mine.

I’m a living testimony of it— it’s why I am here writing to you this Sunday morning.

Do not let this illogical and diabolically deceptive theology deceive you and steal from you.

He such a present help in the ordinary.

He is here to point you to Jesus. He is here to remind you that God the Father is here, with you, and for you, and Jesus fought your fight, already.
