Inspired by a song by Josiah Queen…
Run back to Eden. (Genesis 2:8, 18, 21-22, 25)
Get back to Him. (Joel 2:13)
Go back to the last thing He said to you. (Psalms 119:133)
‘Airplane mode’ the notifications. (Psalms 62:1-2)
Get still in the quiet. (Psalms 37:7)
Burrow into the Secret Place. (Psalms 91:1)
Wrap up in His wings. (Psalms 91:4)
Open His word and soak in the pages. (Joshua 1:8)
Praise Him for all the ‘yes and amen’ moments you’ve seen with your own eyes. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Open your journal and look back on the promises He made and remind yourself…
Your Father is the God of the universe. (Genesis 1:1)
Your Father owns the cattle of a thousand hills. (Psalms 50:10)
Your Creator made you, planned your life for you, and knows everyday written in His book about your life. (Psalms 139)
He searches you and knows you. (Psalms 139)
He’s your provision for everything. (Phillipians 4:19)
Everything you ever really want in this world is in Eden, because God created you and Eden had everything we would need for satisfaction and contentment: His presence.
Everything you need is already paid for by the blood of Jesus.
Drop everything else and go back.
Abandon the counterfeits.
Run back to Eden.
“The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
