Are you sleeping, Christian?

Have you forgotten your First Love?

Do you still feel His delight in you?

Do you remember the feeling of His presence when He first saved you and you encountered Him?

Did you gradually, slowly, little by little over a period of time, let His fire dwindle?

Did you doze off?

How long have you been sleeping?

Who is Jesus to you, now, 20 years after you’ve been saved?

Do you know Him better, or less?

Are you still a newborn in the word? Can you feast on the meat?

Are you growing up in Christ?

Do you remember what He did for you?

Have you gotten saved and gone back fishing, waiting for eternal life to arrive when you die and go to heaven?

Believer, are you enduring your life until death?

What piece of the kingdom of heaven do you bring to this world?

Jesus saved you, and you’ll go to heaven, if He is your Lord and Savior.

But that’s only the beginning.

Jesus died for you to have newness of life now.

He created you to be apart of the advancement of His Kingdom, now.

You are needed.

You are treasured.

Your contributions are eternally important and valued…

Not so that you stay saved—so that you can be alive, here, for them.

Wake up, sleeper.

Stir up.

Look up from your own needs and wants and look out there…to them.

Go, do, occupy until He comes.

Grow in grace, let Him empower you to get over yourself.

Grow in knowledge of His word and everlasting truth that sets you free from your sleep.

Come on, it’s getting rough out here, and the church needs you.

There’s a space you’re designed to occupy that’s vacant and the kingdom of darkness is advancing and overcoming in that area because you’re not there to hold the line.

Get up.

It won’t be long now, and there’s work to do.

Beloved, be loved, but wake up…
